Lebanon's Western-backed March 14 group has declared victory over a coalition led by the Hezbollah – listed by the US as terrorists - but the two sides are expected to form a coalition government.
The US government tells Al Jazeera that assistance policies "will be evaluated in light of" the polls and "the policies the new [Lebanese] government adopts".
