Kenya has seen more than its far share of corruption and nepotism scandals since gaining independence, but there are hopes that this year's presidential elections might mark a turning point for the country.

Sir David Frost talks to Raila Odinga, a presidential candidate, about bringing change to Kenya, why the country has experienced so much corruption and about his own time in prison. He describes the eight-and-a-half years in which he was detained without trial and talks about physical torture and the psychological torture of solitary confinement.

Also in this part of the show, Mexico City's assembly has passed a law legalising abortion during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. But the law - the first of its kind in Mexico - has split the deeply Catholic country.

Church leaders have threatened to excommunicate those who voted to pass the bill and any doctors or nurses who perform the procedure.

Maria Consuelo Mejia, the director of Catholics for the right to decide, joins Sir David Frost to discuss her ten year fight for this bill, how it means that women in Mexico City will no longer have to face unsafe abortions that risk their lives and health and how it is possible to oppose the Catholic Church on this matter and still be a Catholic.
