Asif Kapadia's movie "Far North"

Asif Kapadia's upcoming film Far North
On Thursday's Riz Khan we speak with Asif Kapadia about his upcoming film, Far North starring Michelle Yeoh and Sean Bean. Shot on location in the harsh climate of the Arctic Circle Far North is the story of two women whose fragile equilibrium is shattered when they find a mysterious man in the snow.

Kapadia's first film, Warrior, won him critical acclaim and a ticket to Hollywood. But after doing a major studio production starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kapadia decided to leave the politics of Hollywood behind. Far North marks his return to making films his way – opting for cinematic visuals and creative freedom over heavy dialogue and big budgets.

We talk to Kapadia about the rigors of making films in challenging locales like the North Pole, the Hollywood machine and whether or not good cinema is viable at the box office.
