Bomber hits convoy in Afghanistan
Three people have been killed after a suicide car bomb exploded near a convoy of lorries supplying Nato military bases in southern Afghanistan, police have said.

The attack in Helmand province on Tuesday came a day after a suicide blast had killed at least 27 people in one of the deadliest attacks in the country in recent months.
The two drivers killed in the blast had been pulled from the wreckage and seven civilians were wounded, Andiwal had said.

The attacker had exploded a car packed with explosives near the convoy.
The blast had set four lorries near the blast on fire.

Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher in Kabul said it was difficult to obtain accurate casualty figures due to the intense heat generated from the explosion and subsequent fires.

He also said that Taliban fighters are suspected of carrying out the attack, but the Taliban has not claimed responsibility.
