'Same old song, same old verse - won't get better, just gonna get worse'. I am reading many commentary in Middle East countries that this Gaza/Israel problem could light the fuse to WWIII. World economic conditions will most likely lead to more desperation and radicalization of political movements. People are going to go looking for a 'scape-goat' and a very disturbing trend, not only in Europe, but also now in the USA, is a return to the blame-game of anti-semitism in the world-wide financial crisis. Time Magazine recently published an article about picks for the top 25 people to blame for the financial crisis includes everyone from former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan and former President George W. Bush to the former CEO of Merrill Lynch and you — the American consumer. I see no 'Jewish Conspiracy' as 75% are not Jewish People in the line-up. I think the only solution is for Israel to settle to the pre-1967 border and negotiate in good faith - or this powder-keg is lit ...

Daniel, North Carolina, What is YOUR view on a solution? You can ask the question, which you have asked a few times before, but you have never answered it. Honestly, I think a 2 state solution is not gongi to work, as Israel has taken so much land and has put their people there. This brings me to one of your comments you made, that you read Israeli people here want to live in peace. Well then they're doing a lousy job showing it, by supporting attacks and voting in a ultra right government. They seem to want to continue what theyre doing (expanding the settlements, mis treating Palestinians etc) without any resistance or repercussions from either Hamas, Fateh or the international community. Easy for Israel to say what they want, as whatever they want, USA will make sure it happens. The Palestinians are on their own, their "sole representative" has done nothing to protect them. What should happen FIRST is a Palestinian government that is chosen by the Pals and NOT USA or EU!

Someone wrote : Defamation is always the last resort of the scoundrel and the falsifier and you belong in that category. Defamation like calling me a child-killer? I guess that makes you a scoundrel and a falsifier, and to beige who complained that my comments are unpleasant - you must be Palestinian as you have their habit - you attack me and mine with terrible insults and then when I treat you similarly you act all surprised and hurt. You should look in the mirror, read your own despicable comments, and then if you decide its time to start acting like a grown up, then so will I. - but if you choose to carry on throwing stones - then don't cry when they come flying back - and you can send the same message to your friend Khaled Mashel

Warwatcher said, “Are you going to keep on whining for 60 years...”
No more than you and probably not as much backing either.
Tell me, Warwatcher, you have been whining for the past 60 years about the holocaust. Are YOU going to keep on whining for another 60 years too? I think so, and with the help of AIPAC, Hollywood, ur numerous museums, conferences, remembrance days & of course ur big bully of a brother - the US.

dean, San Diego, United States. The Jews in WWII were noncombatants who did not reject German sovereignty.
This boycott sparked anti-Semitism, part of the Zionist plan to populate Palestine with a Jewish majority. I will provide you and others with Historic facts on these matters. Jews couldn’t claim authority within a territory in Germany and so Zionist can’t claim authority (political sovereignty) within Palestine because they are immigrants. By your comments you seem to want to punish Pal 1/1000 for the Holocaust. That is just psychotic, what did the Pal have to do with the genocide of Jews in Europe, except that you wanted to expel them from their land to create your State during and after the Holocaust. 2

Thanks to Israel. Palestinians have little or no income because Israeli soldiers systematically go in & bulldoze their homes & crops (olives groves) they grow. Unemployment is at an all time high so there do they get the money to better themselves? Most borders are closed because Israel & its ‘angelic’ ally US has pressured neighbouring countries to do exactly as they are told or they will face economic sanctions. All border crossings are monitored by Israel. Israel carries out repeated & ILLEGAL reconnaissance exercises over neighbouring airspace, most notably Lebanese airspace (violating international law – AGAIN). Warwatcher, please stop saying things that are not only unpleasant but reprehensible and cruel, especially since the plight of the Israeli rests solely at the feet of Israel tanks and artillery.

I have been reading and watching the continued desecration of land and people's lives and I have to say I am not optimistic about any form of ending to these act of violence to mankind.Isreal is swearing in a new parliament, a new parliement is good for their political progression but is it good enough to bring about a stop to this acts? What I think should be should be done in this matter is to give the two sides tough love and stop being bias and taking sides because of religious and racial grounds but support both sides to come up to the table and broker a peace deal that would be in line with the two parties primary arguments sbout this matter.

From AJ today – In Thailand the shootings, grenade attacks and car bombings happen almost daily, with 90 per cent of those killed being civilians. Muslims who are seen as being too close to the government have also been targeted – in some recent cases the victims have been beheaded or burned alive - To the hysterical exaggerators that love to use words like child-killers, murderers massacre etc when referring to Israel, - I hope you see what is going on in the world today - get a bit of perspective on chaos and barbarism look at Bangladesh and Thailand and ask yourself who is nuts here? Are these mossad agents sent by Zionists or are these just another daily example of Islamic insanity? If there is an overwhelming majority of Muslims who are just peace-loving, religious, and balanced people then where are they???. Why are they not speaking out against their radical brothers????, why are they not policing their own territory? In general -silence is interpreted as approval.

J, said, "No, I am saying if most Americans were gang members, the news coverage would be presented from the gang's perspective. You are quite intellectually stagnant. "
That’s what I said, J. So, if 1 American was beaten to death by 5 Muslim men would ur news be in favour of the Muslims because they outnumbered the 1 American? What ur saying is ‘no’.
Normally the news would not favour the gang, it would favour their victim (otherwise it would be wrong). However, because American news is biased in favour of US & Israel, they will present their perspective regardless of whether they are right or wrong or their numbers. This is what I said : the media favours US & Israel because it is pro-Israel (AIPAC). You just confirmed what I said – so it seems YOU are intellectually stagnant or running out of plausible arguments.
And no need to say "IF most Americans were gang members" because the world already thinks that US & Israel are terrorists states.

Van Zwam If I thought Muslims to be "wife beheaders", I wouldn't have called it a "stereotype", I would have called it a "truth". The point that I was making that, if Muslims wish to have a more positive portrayal in the media, they need to provide us with better spokespeople. It is not the American media's roles to seek out the moderate and open-minded Muslims, it is rather the role of the Muslim community to put forth these visionaries as its representatives. Currently, the loudest voices in the Muslim community are yelling profanities at Americans and those who claim that they are attempting to open American's minds to Islam (like the gentleman who beheaded his wife) are blowing their opportunities by playing into our stereotypes. What are we supposed to think when all we can hear is "death to America" and what we see of American Muslims in high-profile media positions are violent and primitive reprisals? If Muslims wish America's opinion to change, THEY need to step up.
