As I have kept repeating the Afghan war is all connected to the US proposed TAPI pipeline from Turkmenistan - Harat - Helmund - Pakistan. This shows that this very lucrative pipeline will be passing from Turkenistan & then Southeast via Helmund Province. As we have been led to believe by the US Administration & the British Prime Minister the hot spot & area of concern is up in the Northwest of Pakistan/Northeast Afghanistan where quote "AQ exist". This area is also the main supply route for NATO forces (Islamabad-Jalalabad-Kabul) where many attacks on convoys/supply bases take place. So my question would be that if this war is about defeating AQ & preserving supply for the troops why are most of the multinational troops in the South & East? Isn't it more the truth that the existing troops & the surge troops will be centred on Helmund to establish a secure route for the pipeline and remove Taliban? Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11!! So why are these troops not going to the NE?

I feel extremely angry that this war is now involving more troops from other countries than the US are providing (the country that started it). The war was planned pre 9/11 by the Bush Administration and has now spiralled out of control. Nato force losses are almost now on parr with the US and the trend is currently showing an increase in losses almost four times greater than when they first started. This war began with false motives just like the war in Iraq & is a symbol of flawed US Policy of rulling by an iron fist. Obama needs to look deep within to create the change that he promised. The estimated body bag count for this year will likely be around 356 & this is totally unacceptable. The West should remove themselves from Islamic soils & bring stability back into this world. Save the money you spend on the military & bring your economy back into ballance...you will save around 3 trillion dollars!!!!

Lazarus: I see you have been researching in "Reading Islam". In the present environment and complicated society, it is difficult to interpret and apply Islamic laws. Lets take for example the cutting of a thief's hand or flogging for adultery. This means the head of the society or the government should not be corrupt or a thief in disguise and government members and their families do not steal or commit adultery. There should not be any kind of nepotism when handing out justice and punishment. This involves a lot of education, discipline and re- shaping of the society.

If a person intends to be informed, he must turn to foreign news broadcasts, to Internet sites, to foreign newspapers available on the Internet, or to alternative newspapers that are springing up in various cities. You should be disgusted with your "angelic" and hypocitical Administration first. You should ask them why they were not disgusted with all of these societies but called some of them "friends", "moderates" and did not put all of them on the list of "axis of evil".
Now a question for you: "Why should these societies care for what the citizens of a HYPOCRITICAL country think of them?"

No one is saying that all terrorists are Muslim. Timothy Mcveigh bombed a federal building in oklahama several years ago. Nonetheless, there are many people around the world who, based on their interpretation of Islam, intend to harm American civilians. Such people/terrorists have killed thousands of my countrymen and several of my friends. The facts are that these people have attacked America (they declared war on us), they live/train in Afghanistan under the protection of the Taliban, and they are threatening to conduct future terrorist attacks. They present a clear and president danger to all Americans. Ergo, our presence in Afghanistan is completely justified and we will remain there until the danger abates.

Attack on the World Trade Center is a mystery. Noone knows who did the attack on it. Not even Osama bin Ladin nor the US, except for those who sent the hijackers knows it. Osama bin Ladin just said "Who ever did, did a good thing" So does it mean he is till now behind the terrorism. What is US getting advantage till now? Sending more troops, getting nothing back but just the dead bodies of the foreign soldiers? Few months ago, an australian soldier was killed. Australia felt tears for one soldier, but doesn't care thousands of Afghanistani innocent people getting killed? I dont think the situation of the Afghanistan will get better but it will get worst like hell if there are more troops sent in future and will also effect the situation of Pakistan. Although, Pakistan is not a terrorist country but it is getting bomb attacks since because the war in Afghanistan, and US is behind all this situation, where now US cant control the whole situation occuring in Afghanistan.
