Haitham Rashwan had worked his way up through the ranks of an Egyptian banking firm, eventually becoming a branch manager.

When his company went bust, he lost his job and with it his comfortable lifestyle.
He says that nearly all Egyptian banks have put a freeze on hiring and the years of experience he gained in that field are no longer of use.
Now he must start from scratch.
