Liberian president facing calls to quit  
 

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberia's president and Africa’s first female democratically elected leader, is seen as the darling of the West.

Her commitment to tackle corruption and lift war-torn Liberia out of poverty has won her international support.

But a report released by Liberia's Truth and Reconciliation Commission -which she helped set up - has called for her to be barred from holding public office.
