Most of these human rights groups are quite content to see lawlessness and adultery spread like wildfire through society. Just wanted to point out that Amnesty were against the UK/USA invasion/pre-emptive strike in Iraq. And the charity has repeatedly spoken out on behalf of the people of Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. It doesn't have a pro-Western agenda.

if this is indeed the truth, i would urge the rest of the people who have read this article especially the non-Muslims that the stoning of a rape victim is something that Islam doesn't advocate for,if the al-shabaad, who claim to be taking part in jihad and imposing Islamic sharia(law), then their sharia(law) is not Islamic at all, in fact it is a reflection of the bitter Jahiliya period.These are the kind of people who bring great misunderstanding between us Muslims and the rest of the world.

If the stories prove true when further investigated then this is a very sad day for Somalia. Not only is there lawlessness and violence throughout the country but even attempts at a legal process are distorted and brutal. It is a sad day for humanity and for all the good that is done elsewhere in the name of Islam. |

One of the first comments I read about this article was that it was thought to be propaganda. Propaganda? Honestly, what kind of alternate reality do you people live in that you think a woman, girl, person, WHATEVER, would not actually be stoned to death. Crimes are committed all the time and they are sadistic and disgusting. It is becuase people are sick in the head and have a skewed vision of what they think justice is. This is a sad example of a people's mental in-balances and ignorance. |

If this atrocity did take place than any human being, regaradless of religious bias, would be outraged and sickened. Rape is a crime. Using the name of Allah as an excuse for murder is also a crime.
I have hope that there are intelligent and reasonable thinkers within the Islamic faith.
Reading the comments on this story creates a disturbing doubt in my mind.

I am horrified by the stoning of this young girl. But the comments that tie this action to Islam only contribute to an already marred and distorted picture of Islam. The Qur'an does not condone this violence, nor does Shar'ia. There are some Muslims who act outside of the constructs of the Qur'an, but their actions cannot be taken to represent Islam. Associating all Muslims with the actions of a few denies the varied identities of individuals who practice Islam, most of whom are not violent. |

It doesn’t really matter if she was 13 or 43, neither if she was raped nor no. what the world should put to stop is the stoning of this women and girls, who are we to judge? Doesn’t the Koran say that we cannot judge one another? Since when did the so called Sheria practising converted themselves into God to judge? This is insane, inhuman I don’t understand how anybody can defend violence, WE ARE ALL AISHA. WE SHOULD PUT A STOP TO THIS.

I discovered these terrible news yesterday, i.e. almost 2 weeks after the assassination.
I am shocked that the French media did not give worthy coverage to this horrendous crime. Only a few blogs and and rare newspapers websites published these news.
Having look on Google News, I have seen that foreign media, be it Al Jazeera or the International Herald Tribune, did talk about it.
It is a shame for the French media to hide such horror, they are criminal, this is a 'silence crime'! |

Islam is not the cause of this. When interpreted properly, the Islam is a religion of peace and I hope that all good Muslims know this. But Islam is more susceptible than other religions to fundamentalists misinterpreting it to there own ends.
