First, don't hold this trial in Texas of all places. No way that they're going to get a fair trial. Second, one persons terrorist is another persons freedom fighter. By this court's logic, if the Red Cross provides or funds any type of relief or support to people in Isreal, Palestine could hold them for supporting terrorism? |

I am disgusted after reading this! All this is going to do is alienate Muslism further. How can you blame a charity for giving funds to Hamas, when Fatah had a horrible reputation for stealing zakat & tax dollars! When is the American system going to quit being so arrogant and close minded of diversified political views who see Hamas as the only large entity who stand up for Palestinian rights. USA might as well prosecute every Palestinian who voted for Hamas in the 2006 DEMOCRATIC elections |

For if it measured Wisdom it was not found lacking in accuracy upon matters,

How is this spreading Hama's ideology? Feeding childrean and running hostiptals and social welfare, is not a crime, even if the area is controlled by Hamas. When will the Amricans realize their ignorance? To me this is propanganda, the Jews are responsible for this. |

This is obsene. But then why should we expect anything better from the nation that set up Gitmo. They were supporting those who were truly terrorized, and who are the terrorists? The government of Israel supported by the government of the US. |

You mean double standards like the way that Muslims, from most Arab countries, treat their wives and females of the community? You mean the double standards of making attacks on innocents because the Quran says they are infidels although your "religion" is supposed to mean peace? Sounds to me like you should really look at what your own values are before you try to, again, force them upon others in a country that is publicly despised by all your Islamic brethren. |

Discrimination against Muslims is a form of extremism. Allah has assured us in the Quran that there will be a people SO POWERFUL that only Allah can punish and humiliate them. They never imagine for a second that they can be swashed like flies by the one more powerful, God Almighty. We relish the day when they get their just deserts. |

Mr. Sayfud-Deen is mistaken when he states the US gives $13 billion per year to Israel. Per the Congressional Research Service the top Foreign Aid Recipients, excluding Iraq, in 2004 (latest I could find) were Israel ($3B), Egypt ($1.9B), Afghanistan ($1.8B), Columbia ($0.6B), Jordan ($0.6B), Pakistan ($0.4B). Giving to Islamic countries exceeded giving to Israel.
I know several people of Islamic descent. None that I know are the recipient of atrocities by our government.

Maybe Islamic countries receive more in terms of aid, but look at who is getting the money...countries that are proxies of the United States...Jordan and Egypt receive money in return for not attacking Israel...look at Egypt, they have one crossing unpatrolled by Israel to Gaza, yet they don't let aid through either. Afghanistan and Pakistan fight the US war on terror..Pakistan also in part to a peace deal with India and the nuke problems in the 80's/90's..where is the money to Iran and Syria |

Hamas never attacked the United States. Israel considers Hamas a terrorist organization because it considers any organization that helps Palestinians terrorist supporters. But yet $4 billion a year is funneled to Israel to support terrorism against Palestinians. not long ago the founding fathers of America fought against the tyranny of British rule. Is it a strange thing for the palestinians to stand up with arms against such tyranny? Hamas is willing to fight for the Liberty of the people they protect. They are defending their right to provide the security their children diserve, food, shelter, medical care, the right to grow up nourished and loved. Sound familiar? palestinians and americans have more in common in light of fighting for freedom, liberty. |

You think that by stopping these charities from donating to Hamas, the US is depriving poor people of food? I have a question for you then: How many more Palestinians could Hamas feed if they sold all of their rockets and mortars? Does bombing Ashkelon and Sderot somehow help the Palestinian people in a way that is unapparent to the rest of the world? Hamas burns American flags in the street, they don't deserve our money. |

The Holy Land was a genuine charity which provided badly needed support to Palestines living in poverty. Hamas is a genuine political party which won the last election. To call it a "terrorist organization" was an immoral political act. I agree with their view that there should be one multi-racial country in Palestine. Does that make me a terrorist? As for the cost of rockets fired into 'Israel', they are cheaply homemade in garages and are not financed or supported by Hamas. |

US handle this case against all human rights, but this the American habit.
To eliminate unwelcome countries or groups of countries, they name them terrorists and as terrorists they have no right, and for the Americans the problem is solved.
It's only sad, that other civilised countries are following the pressure of US. The only way to stop the US is the economic way - a boycott on US-goods. |

This case bears no difference from many Federal cases in the US, especially during the Bush regime. Bush and his cronies were dead serious when they said "If you're not with us, you're against us". Not only to foreign countries, but to American citizens. We are only as 'free' as our government and the rich & powerful allow the general population to be. That is, when the rich and powerful are indeed in power. I hope for change back to our once respectful country. |

The majority of Palestinians (around 80%) are now dependent on relief supplies for every day survival. These people suffer daily oppression and deprivation of food, water, medicines, electricity, freedom to travel for work or hospital appointments, or to visit relatives. They have frequently have their land taken away from them, their olive trees burnt or up-rooted, their houses bulldozed or bombed. The establishment of Israel was through terrorist atrocities. No weapons = Palestinians wiped out! |

Those that feel this article is unfair should look back at the coverage of Dallas Morning News. It is virtually the same. Should you look back at the sames coverage of the first trial there was a great deal of articles on the "closed court" and how exactly you could get a fair trial when the main witnesses were shin bet agents whose identities "must be protected". Where did the date of 1995 come from? Hamas was not declared a terrorist organization until 2003. In the lead up to the invasion of Iraq the State Dept. was resisting declaring Hamas and Hizballah terrorist organisations, presumably in order to minimize opposition to its main goal. I watched on C-Span as a panel of Jewish members of House and Senate badgered Colin Powell to declare them terrorist. Within a few days they got what they wanted. It was in early 2003. |

Why does the U.S. government call Hamas a terrorist group and not Iseral. Everytime they lanch a missle from an aircraft at Gaza, that is an act of terror. It kills civilians as well as combatants. Hamass lanches a missle that kills no one and Iseral lches a misle that kills many innocent people. The U. S. needs to get over the collective guilt they have over the Holocaust and realize that Iseral is not a helpless state at th mercy of its neighbors. |

Jimi Jam has a point. Muslims enjoy living in America but at the same time want to be viewed as victims. The average American holds no ill will towards non extremist Muslims. It is a multi religious country that leaves people alone regarding their religion. US passports have no religion mentioned. These people were found guilty because the ignored the warnings of the US government and continued to fund Hamas. They put their opinion of Hamas ahead of the US law. Guilty. So be it. |

This court case must be part of a coordinated Zionist push to cut the life-lines of the Palestinian people. In Britain also, a major charity providing aid to Palestinians is being targetted. A major bank- Lloyds TSB has ordered the Islamic Bank of Britian, for whom it clears funds, to cease dealings with Interpal or face closure. by Dec.8th 2008. Interpal's activities have been reviewed more than once, most recently by the Charity Commission, and all their activiities were approved. Please Act! |

As much as you want to blame the courts, I can't believe that anyone is surprised at the outcome.
The charity was convicted of giving to an org. which is designated by the US as a sponsor of terror. We can argue about whether or not Hamas should be on this list, but that is not for this court to decide. Since we are a nation of laws, I would not advocate that you break laws simply because you disagree with them. There is a process within the legal framework to change things. |

As poorly as these people appear to be treated in the U.S. courts, I don't understand why 6 million muslims still live want to live here. Of all the places in the world to live, why do they live in the U.S? I would never live where I am mistreated, singled out as a terrorist, or could be wrongly convicted of supporting terrorism. Yet more continue to come to US. Why? Are they ignorant of America's track record? Do they not read the news? Have they not heard the stories? |

You know, I understand the whole thing about the charity funneling money to Hamas. I understand about the reasons they were doing it, the same valid reasons many of America's forefathers battled for independence many centuries ago. What I DON'T understand is how Americans and our sister countries saying the atrocities they are saying in this forum. America is a humanitarian country. The economic crisis started because we cannot get our money back from countries we LOAN it too. Do your research! |

Something to think about |

America is a democracy. If this court case was put to public referendum, the group would undoubtedly have been convicted. America, as a country, has the right to designate its own enemies (much like Hamas calls for the destruction of Israel). We also have the right to prosecute those who we find to be aiding our enemies. The court did not act contrary to the Constitution or the will of the American people. I can think of no logical reason this decision should be questioned. |

The impetus is on the Muslim charities to draw a clear line of distinction between their causes and the causes of terrorist groups like Hamas. Self-respecting Muslims should be eager to distance themselves by organizations like Hamas which have caused significant damage to the image of Islam worldwide. If your organization
does not find flaw in suicide bombers and launching rockets indiscriminately at towns, then you are not a member of a charity and you shouldn't pretend to be. |

"There you go, the ignorance procrastinations and false representations are the better part of being American... How I loathe this deaf dumb and blind society which prefer hate above reasoning."
Please understand that not ALL Americans are as blind and self- serving as our Government is. Also, try to understand that despite the sincerest efforts of the clear- minded people, the Hidden Government is responsible for everything. So, blame BUSH and the CIA for the world's troubles, not AMERICA! |
