Rebuilding lives after the storm

Parts of the Philippines, including the capital Manila, are still suffering from the effects of a series of deadly storms that have killed at least 1,000 people over the past three months.

More than seven million others have been displaced and hundreds of thousands still remain in evacuation centres.

As the clean-up continues, the government has launched a resettlement programme for survivors who have lost their homes - but many of the victims say they have been left out.

Al Jazeera's Divya Gopalan reports.
