Quake victims struggle to rebuild

 

Thousands of Indonesians in the island of Sumatra have been out of work since an earthquake destroyed the island's infrastructure and industry.

Residents are now criticising the government for the slow pace of rebuilding and rehabilitation of the local economy following the quake on 30 September.

Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay went to Padang city two months after the natural disaster to find a city "frozen in time" that has led some Sumatrans to despair.
