'US missiles' hit Pakistan village

At least four people have been killed by a suspected US drone that fired two missiles into a Pakistani tribal area bordering Afghanistan, security officials say.

The missiles hit a house in the village of Sam in South Waziristan, an area known to be a stronghold of Baitullah Mehsud, the head Pakistan's pro-Taliban movement.

"There may be casualties, we are checking," a Pakistani intelligence official, who declined to be identified, said.

A second official said that drones are still flying in the area.

"No one is going close as they fear more missiles could be fired," he said.

According to a local resident in Sam, two big explosions had shaken the village.

US-operated pilotless drones have stepped up strikes in Pakistan since the beginning of September, firing missiles at suspected fighters 11 times and killing dozens of people, Pakistani security officials have said.

It seems Pakistan is all right with the US constantly firing missiles into its territory and killing its people. If they are so outraged by this attacks then why is there no retribution on their behalf? I do not mean in a military way, but by denouncing it at the United Nations or even better, by cutting support for the aggressors on their so called war on terror. Close the darn supply routes the US so need to carry fuel into Afghanistan.

Why is Pakistan so lenient with the US ? Use the x band radar or what ever you have to monitor drones and just shoot them down.

Why Pakistan hasn't taken a stronger stand? How about the loss of billions of dollars in aid!! The people of Pakistan don't benefit, only the military and ISI. It's only a matter of time before this blows up in the face of Zardari and company and either there's a break with the U.S. or revolution!

US Missles hit Village
I fear there is no real short term solution to this problem of world wide US Empire terror. The peoples of the Middle East are just going to have to endure against them, likely over a very long struggle. They are bleeding though, as their current economic crisis is demonstrating. In the end, US citizens may begin their own resistance, even if just for their own reasons, which may be of an unintended assist to the Arab peoples nonetheless.

(UN) SANCTION DEMAND!
Pakistan must take this violation of international law and (UN) United Nations Charter to the (UN), for a vote of sanction against the United States Military Israel Complex. These are unprovoked attacks upon the territory of sovereign state, with no provocation.

American raids into Pakistan
Can Al Jazeerah please ask the Pakistan government and army , why is nothing being done about the raids by the Americans. Have they given them permission or is out army to soft and dont have the bottle to take the americans on. Or is there some collusion between the two countries. Furthermore where are the Pakistan public, why arent they coming out and denouncing this.Come on people of Pakistan, are you cowards or what?

Hush Money
Pakistan receives aid from the US. They need to walk a fine line between defending their sovereignty and shutting off the funding spigot. I think Pakistan has been playing both sides, keeping the Taliban around ensures money from the US but at the same time they don't want activities of either the US or the Taliban to get out of control.

It makes one think that Patistani govt, is using the drones or they are suppling US with the Intelligence to hit mutual targets. Otherwise, there would be more outrage.

Re: ali
Perfect. Let's inject more narrow minded interpretations of a political conflict and make everyone who doesn't agree with you, or any imam, an "enemy of Islam." The real enemy of Islam is ignorance, lack of education, lack of democracy and equality. While what is happening in Waziristan is terrible, you cannot conclude that the United States is an "enemy of Islam." That's no better than the conservatives in the United States that thing Muslims are backward-thinking cavemen who beat their women.

Wait for the announcement.
Whenever the U.S. uses it's missiles and drones for an attack, a news conference is held to justify the attack. Just wait for the news report. Also, other countries have the capability to use drones and missiles. The parts of the missile should carry the country of origin and it is categorically "Made in China", Maybe we should look elsewhere other than the US before calling such heinous crimes as a US attack.

RE: US missile hit Pakistan village
People dont realise how close this is to Afghanistan border, they fire and run back by the time Pakistan air force scrambles its fighters the drones are gone. Also, Pakistan did shot down one Drone few weeks back. But its cat and mouse game, also the mountains make it harder to monitor air space without having black holes in it.
