How come this article neglects to represent the negative side of a true cold-blooded killer, Ayman al-Zawahiri. Isn't is true that he dipicted Obama as a house negro. Not a whole lot of value and ethics in that statement or in the fact that biases exist in all news agencies. I enjoy your coverage but i do wish that the pictures that were painted bared true color rather than the artist colorblinded spectrum. Just saying if things are to change its a two sided equation. |

This war will continue bc there is no real enemy... Above all the ulimate goal is to get everyone Chipped.. Chip in your right hand... So you can be controlled.. |

House Negro racial insult |
Earthling from US asked: "Zawahiri refers to Obama as a 'House Negro'. Why didn't Al Jazeera print that?" Is it maybe because it would be embarassing to show Muslims as racial bigots? I wonder if Zawahiri would have still called him that if Obama had been a Muslim? |

Interesting Terminology |
His use of the term 'house negroes' is an interesting one, and probably not meant in irony. Don't forget that slavery was commonplace in various Arab countries until relatively recently. In 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom', TE Lawrence frequently refers to being lent slaves by Faisal. |

It is important to realize the depth in which Al-Zawarhiri is speaking in, first off, Obama made it clear to everyone who had doubt that America will remain a pro-jewish and perhaps a Israeli puppet, this was clear when he appointed Rham Emanuel who served in the Israeli criminal army and whose father was among those responsible for the arab holocaust, in other word the Nakba, where millions were displaced and murdered. |

During his campaign, Obama was criticized by McCain in regard to his foreign policy when he said he would meet with world leaders to help resolve conflicts. Obama defended his position and called for greater cooperation and dialog globally. Now, President elect Obama has side-stepped to the center and his position on Afganistan, Iran and the Middle East in general is more in line with the Bush administration. It's interesting to note how the more things "change," the more they stay the same. |

House Negro |

To Tom and Earthling - I am pleasantly surprised you guys read Aljazeera. Aljazeera did print the words "house negro", with an explanation of its use by Dr Zawahiri (it was used by Malcolm X and to many people around the world, it is still applicable and I believe Obama will prove to be a "house negro"). Until you guys realize that all the troubles started after blatant infringements of all Muslim rights during Bush' term, it will be futile. Hate is still with you guys, unfortunately. |

Show me one Muslim country where such DVDs are spreading around in the number of 28 million copies. Vow. |

Arab racism toward Blacks |

When you look at the non-existant marriage rate of Arabs female to blacks in all religions, there is clearly a racisim against blacks by Arabs.
All other races, Whites, Asians, and blacks intermarry but the Arabs. Arabs of all levels feel that they are somehow superior to blacks with Obama becoming the leader of the America it hits the subconsious of Arabs |

Zawahiri is a human being. Human beings need to have purpose. Psychological justification of their lives. If there was no enemy (the U.S.), Zawahiri would have no purpose. This is why it is essential that Zawahiri creates an enemy, if not in his own mind, within the minds of the general public.
Much in the way that the Roman general Scipio wept at the destruction of ancient Carthage (his life long struggle finally complete, he has no purpose), and subsequently took his own life |

Al Zawahiri comments reflects a mentality which has evolved and a result of actions from Western countries, particularily Europe and the United States and its allies.
After undermining and chasing out Saddam Hussien in Iraq and helping the Muhajeen chase out the Russians in Afghanistan, we are now trying to permanently occupy that country in the name of freedom. |

Racism among blacks and Yellows is more than Whites |
Unfortunately, many people are naive and un aware of hypocricy and racism.
Racism stems from ignorance, selfishness, jealously, race, nationalism and greed. It exists widely among blacks and Yellows more that whites. It exists among mono-cultures of developing nations more than that of well developed nations. Because most of developing nations, especially the highly populated are not well exposed to other cultures. They are different than multi-nationals. |

There are two kinds of black leaders - those who advocate civil rights like Martin Luther King, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and Rev Al Sharpton and those who advocate republican values like Condoliza Rice, Colin Powell and Clarence Thomas of the SC. Obama may have to stay at the middle or otherwise none of the people in the "white house" will follow his orders. If he swings toward the republican values, then we can say he is a house slave. I would like to inform the world, especially, Al-Zawahiri, that Malcolm changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz after he felt free as a man in his country. After Hajj, he also disavowed his "House Negro" comment as divisive in the African-American community. "House Negro" is considered racist among African-Americans. Basicly, Al-Zawahiri just insulted 40 million people. Al-Zawahiri is ignorant of USA and for an Arab, shouldn't be using racial slurs since Arabs enslaved Africans also! |

Extremism on both sides of this conflict skew the perceptions of many. Creating a cloud of misconception about each others cultures. Al-Zawahiri proved with his racial comment that he has no intention of ever stopping his jihad, even if policies were to change. Obama has not even enacted any policies and yet he is being attacked. When someone attacks another persons race or religion it is born not out of political disagreement but of ignorance and blind hate. |

He would stoop so low as to use racial epithets to insult and diatribe a man who has risen to his level without the need to hack the heads off of those he holds prejudice is beyond belief.
Inflammatory name calling just shows this man's stupidity, intolerance and aversion to all that contrasts to his 12th century mentality. |

People need to understand Zawahri well before they comment on his lawful speech. He did not portray Obama as "slave" but just quoted the phrase from the decendant of an enslaved, Malcolm X. Again those who say Arabs are not intermarrying with blacks is living in the White house of Somalia. Arabs are the most people who intermingled with Africans and it is every where conspicous in Arabia . Sadat was of Afro Arab stock. Many arabs have African blood since the days of Abraham. |

Those Africans who believes the Western written books that Arabs enslaved blacks are nuts. Without Arabs the fate of blacks would have been worse than the native American Indians in USA on the arrival of Westerners in Africa. They would have been hunted in their jungles like Gazelles for pleasure. Remember the same conquastas who went to America went to africa also. There they met Arabs who established well to do civilisations and largely intermarried with blacks. |

Interesting that the very first comment demands that the article represent not the facts reported but the US-authorised value-loaded preconception of the person reported upon. Despite Obama's election, it appears that the US still suffers from a significant deficit of self-knowledge. |

Seems like we all forget that at one point Malcolm X whom we all seem to revere went to Mecca and saw Islam as in all its glory, Arabs, Blacks, Whites and all other ethnicities worshipping together and living in harmony? Did he himself not take on more of a moderate stance? |

I think zawahari has some sense. Its time America withdrew from both Afganistan and Iraq before more doom overshadows them. Moreover when ever a person fights for his country he becomes a terrorist in the eyes of his occupiers -the same way Ghandhi and other freedom fighters in India were called by the british. |

What is striking about Al-Zawahiri is his deep historical insight and his correct appraisals. US is defeated simply because of grass-root resistance in both Irq and Afghanistan. Us colonial ambition in the heart of moslem world is doomed. His invocation of Malcom X is correct. Malcom condemned blacks in the US who were willing to die for the white man's war in Vietnam but not willing to fight the racist America. American slavery was run by black slaves themselves, but controlled by the whites |

There is no term "house negro." All Americans are familiar with this racist slur.
Calling someone a "house n*gger" is extremely offensive.
al-Zawahiri has deliberately insulted Barack Hussein Obama, US President-Elect.
He knew just what he was doing. Thus his behavior shows that he is a pig. (a term equally offensive in his culture) |

In the past five thousand years of Arab history it always comes down to this "My god is better than your god." Here is my answer to this. The proper way to win a war. |

Even as Canadians fight along side American troops in Afghanistan, you spew ignorant garbage about your allies. Pathetic.
To Al-Zawahiri:
These remarks prove you to be a poor tactician. By warning the Americans not to send more troops to Afghanistan you reveal that to be your true weak spot. The only reason that you've survived is because the Americans have been distracted in Iraq. Keep some of the opium you've been selling. You're about to need it. |

I'm a mixed race convert to Islam, and personally I don't see anything wrong with what Al-Zawahiri has made reference to.
Is it not true that Obama is a blatant "uncle tom" who cares more about not offending his pro Zionist supporters in APEC rather than upholding the truth.
You might say it's a bit early to decide that, but lets say for augments sake that he was really going to make a change (yea right), those far right and pro Zionists would make a meal of him like they did JFK and Clinton. |

It shows true colours of Al-Zawahiri as a bogus muslim. If he was a muslim he would not be killing the innocent in the first place. Islam does not allow any distinction or discrimination on the basis of race or colour. Unlike America where there are black churches and white churches, muslim mosques have all shades. Terrorists from any race or religion should be condemned. America too should be condenmed just the the sam, it has has killed far more innocent people, especially non-white. |

No US Terrorist Attack Since Iraq War Not Addressed |
What al-Zawahiri didn't comment on in his assessment of America's failed policies in the Middle East is the notion that the Iraq War somehow made America safer against terrorist attacks. Just last week, Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a speech to conservatives thanked President Bush for keeping terrorists out of America since 9/11. Will history show the Bush so-called legacy stopped al-Zawahiri? Only he and al-Qaeda know the answer before Obama steps in. |

As an American, I turn to al-Jazeera for an additional perspective on world affairs sometimes, so I was hoping there would be some discussion of the point in al-Zawahiri's speech were he referred to President-elect Obama as either a "house slave" or a "house negro." I'd like to know from an Arabic-speaking news source if that's really what al-Zawahiri said. If it is, that's absolutely unacceptable and racist. |

Continuing my message, which I hope got posted, Obama does not realize Al Qaeda had nothing to do with 9/11 attacks, and to find blame or fault he needs only look to Washington, just as videos on YouTube confirm such as loose change and the interview with Aaron Russo. Furthermore, it is not the man who runs the system that causes it to become corrupt, it is the corrupt system Obama was handed, he won’t change anything within the system, nor will he command a victory in either Iraq or Afghanistan |

At some point, the world has to recognize peace as an option. Fighting and destroying nations, with cowardly random acts of hatred, solves nothing. Al-Zawahiri’s announcement is nothing more than a plea to continue separatism and violence throughout nations that look forward to a path of peace and unity. |

Judging by the response to Al-Zawahiri comments of Obama's connection to the freedom struggles of white America's former slaves its obvious that once more White America and their Black gatekeepers are in denial. Racism in America can never be defeated by denial of history. The 43% of white voters who voted for Obama did so in part because they know he has no connection to the struggles of America's former slaves. He will never hold racist America accountable, he is their emancipation. |

Obama & Malcolm X knows how to talk the talk. However, Malcolm X also walked the walk which Obama will not emulate as recent policy announcements suggests that he will not be changing US foreign policies on the Israeli occupation of Palestine and their own occupation of Afghanistan. Obama may not be the wolf in sheeps clothing that some have suggested but I believe that he certainly is a "house slave". If he tries to be any different, he will suffer the same fate as the "field slave", Malcolm X. |

If America stopped trying to eliminate al-Qaeda, stopped trying to protect its country, would al-Qaeda eliminate us? Because it seems Zawahiri is mad since although Obama wants to end the war in Iraq, he will not give up on al-Qaeda a big change from Bush in Americans eyes but not in his. Since in his eyes we are still trying to stop him from doing what he wants. He thinks Obama turned his back on Muslims but he just chose his own faith. Let us recognize that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is going to be the first black president of the United States of America since 1776, when the nation was founded. The Taliban is almost entirely composed of the Pashtun tribe. The tribal territory extends into NW Pakistan , they do not recognize the border. The Pashtun entirely destroyed a British army of 60,000 in Afghanistan and drove out the Russians. Saudi Arabia funds the Taliban/Pashtun and most other fanatical Muslin groups, including 90% of the worlds Mosques. They run dozens of Moslem schools in Pakistan where the teach only the extreeme Wahabbi brand of Islaam to the Pashtuns. |

I see this war as a idealogical war between 2 sides. You're either in favor of "co-existence" or against it. Most of the world wants to live in peace with it fellow man. It seems to me that radical Islam sects refuse to accept others who do not share their exact beliefs. If that's the case then I'm afraid we (USA and the rest of the free world) need to isolate these narrow minded sects and eliminate them.

Al-Zawahiri lashes out at Obama |
Al-Zawahiri is playing the same brand of stereotype politics as Karl Rove. In all nation states, racial groups, or religious orders there are those who hate and those who do not.
Who killed Malcolm X? My answer would be the same spirit of hate now embodied in Al-Zawahiri. |

I hope my first got published.
The man has not even had his first day in office yet. As such, how can anybody make assumptions as to what he may or may not do? I think we can all agree that politicians, at least in the US, have a history of saying one things and doing something else. If that is the Case then we must wait until Obama has taken action to judge him. |

Mr. Al Zawahiri's message may be strategically inept and uncivilized in tone (maybe, I'm not sure) but not in contrast to U.S. policy and attitude as exemplified by some of the responses here. But his predictions of further U.S. policy failure in the middle east may be sadly accurate. Glen Roberts, nottalkradio.com |

Funny the people here accusing the USA of racism, when those that do are racist themselves or live in countries with little diversity.
How can this guy call the USA evil when he makes people blow themselves up killing innocents and is planning an attack, not on the US military but US citizens. At least Americans have called out Bush, but those supporters of guys like Zawahiri never call him on his abuse of religion |

Historically, a "house negro" is an individual who is subordinate to a more powerful master. Who is Obama subordinate to? No one. He is soon to be the most powerful man in the world. He is the elected leader of 300 million Americans. Evidently, that has Al Qaeda scared. |

the first thing that al is overlooking is the major fact that he is overlooking the way the usa government transition works and the fact that the obama administration is not fully sworn in until JAN. The Bush Admin. is still in power until JAN. and is al just stooping to playground name calling in order to get attention now? way to go al, youre name calling on the guy who isnt even in power...good job. change may come but not while the bush admin is still officially in power.... |

The U.S. has made serious mistakes making genocidal wars against Irak and Afghanistan. We around the world have reasonable expectations that Mr Obama will respect Arabs and our religion. And immediately withdraw the genocidal troops from these two countries. Otherwise our struggles for peace must continue. Fighting for peace is much harder but we must. |

It amazes me how much a lot of you are willing to outright deny reality. The best comment here, I think, is Adham,
Palestinian Territory. People would rather ignore the fact that Obama associates with Zbigniew Brzezinski, Rahm Emanuel, etc. If you think invading Afghanistan, to protect the opium crops and oil from others, and fight a pseudo-war is so horrible, why are you so mad about supposed "mass-murderer" Al-Zawarhiri making a racist comment? Nice double standard. |

Saami has summed it all up. And to all Americans, do you really believe that your president is the most powerful man in the world? Do you know that you are beholden to the Federal Reserve Bank? Do you know that it is not a government-owned institution, but a privately-owned central bank, owned by a number of European and American Jewish families? It is not even a secret, you will find it on the internet and in your history books, though smartly dressed. Unfortunately, Al Zawahiri is right. |

Doctor al-Zawahiri's use of the 'house negro' phrase is not important to the story. Including it in this story would only serve as a distraction and take attention away from the very important subject. America MUST withdraw troops from the middle east and put an end to it's fascist policies around the world. |

Obama will have his chance for "change" |
We need to enfasizes that Malcolm X gave up violent means to overcome racism in the US during the sixties.
So, Al-Zawahiri is wrong because is out of context. Furthermore, Obama cannot be compared to a "house slave" because he got the chance to be the master, if he decides to be so. |

People who propagate more rage towards the US just can’t be satisfied, just pathetic people with nothing to contribute but hate, providing excuses for more killing. Any country that evolves and tries to spread anything but your narrow primitive way of thinking is a target. The killing has been going on for centuries and will continue up until one of you igits get nuclear weapons and blow this whole world to smithereens. Want change then CHANGE regardless of who is president of US. |

Obama vs Zawahiri |
If anyone has read the latest news, they will read that Obama has selected another 3 Jews to his cabinet. One of them will be the secretary of treasury. The only reason Obama won the presidency is because the Zionist chose him to win in order to fool people. Obama is nothing but an Israeli puppet, and America is nothing but a Zionist run country unfortunately. If Obama refuses the orders of these Zionists in his cabinet like RAhm Emanuel, in no time he will be assasinated. |

Given Obama's statements that he will concentrate militarily on the war in Afghanistan, al-Zawahiri's statement was to be expected. Obama's statement about increasing the presence of invaders in Afghanistan was seen as an insult against militant Islam by al-Zawahiri and he reciprocated with an insult. If both sides could stop trading insults and bullets back and forth and sit down and talk together perhaps the entire sordid Afghanistan tragedy could be brought to an end. |

Believe it or not, Jews are allowed to hold public office in America. One day, we might even have a Jewish president. If you think that Jews should be shunned from government positions, consider moving to Iran. In MY country, the president can pick whomever he wants on his cabinet, even if they are not anti-Israel. |

I think it is far more prudent to hold people responsible for THEIR actions rather than holding people responsible for their ancestor's actions. This is especially important in America where most of our people are descended from immigrants. Zawahiri is just reminding us that even opthomolagists can grow incredibly when they have spent years in a caves. |

There is racism in the US and everyone else in the world. US diversity teaches us to live with our differences. Racism as decreased in the US towards every race since 9/11 except one, Guess who???? It was a sorry price to pay but brought my country together as a nation (with freedom of speech) with only one intention in mind. Eradicate all of those who stand against general freedoms and liberties of life. Iraq now has the opportunity to become a beautiful democracy. Where HUMAN right prev |
