Georgia's president rejects calls to quit  
 

Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia's president, has said he will not resign despite thousands of protesters in Tbilisi, the capital, keeping up the pressure on him in a second day of mass demonstrations. 

The protestors say they will implement a campaign of civil disobedience until they topple him.
