US forces kill Iraqi governors son |
|
|
|
|

The sooner US soldiers leave Iraq the better for its people. After all, what good can come from fast-trigger weapon fanatics who have not learned how to use their brains properly?
It is about time someone called the ICJ to deal with American war criminals in action inside Iraq. |

I've just fallen off my seat laughing at the unbelievable comments from Marc - so, presumably the 700,000 or so innocent babies, children, women and men in Iraq were deliberately killed because they had to be, eh ? |

I Think us policy for muslims is worst than animals. so its ok by bush to shoot and kill . us soilders are muderers is proven. only thing must get icc to prosecute them for crimes against humanity in iraq and afghanistan. which will never happen. only way is to fight in which ever way possible to rid of this killers. most soilders are straight from prison and basically have pycopathic tendancies, that may be the reason us needs wars every time. name me a us president who diddnt go to war . |

As in Vietnam it happens all the time-and far more than reported. Give someone a weapon and tell them everyone not in their uniform is an enemy or potential one,and this is the inevitable result. Let's just get out and give these people their country back! |

You people bashing the US soldiers should try to do their jobs before you judge them. Can't you read? The artical said the men were armed! Usually that means they intended to shoot the soldiers. the soldiers are backed with investigated intellegance wich means they new what they were doing and defended themselves. People wake up, the US is trying to legitimize the government there for the better of all the people and cant do it with so many armed rouge factions resisting the Maliki gov. |

I guess the American motto of shoot then ask questions later is true. In western media If your an American or a Britt with a gun your just a soldier, on the other hand if your an Arab or Iranian with a gun your just a terrorist. I believe if all Americans were shown and told the truth about what happens in Iraq on the daily basis they would all hang there heads down with shame. |

It's time for the Iraqi people to wake-up, especially those on the gov't side. Look at that! Even your sons, relatives, and fellow Muslims are being attacked and just fired on like animals without due process considering that you're fighting on their (American) side. You're supposed to be the master of your on land yet here comes the Americans shooting you right at the front of your houses and you can't do anything?! WAKE UP FELLOW MUSLIMS! |

I find those that want to promote separation always bring religion into the picture. Raiding a house where people have guns ready to shot, but you’re quicker on the draw means those losing were oppressed Muslims. Then again, beheading people on TV is so civilized…it is all perspective. Both sides need to do better at understanding the division, but these previous posts show me that we are a long way off…. |

The governor's son was killed because he was an enemy combatant. US soldiers do not just kill indiscriminately. The only reason why this war has gone on as long as it has is because soldiers have to go through too many layers to get permission to shoot. If they were allowed to shoot when the threat appears less innocent people would die. Insurgents can shoot, run and hide behind women and children while soldiers wait for permission to defend themselves. Governor’s son? No insurgent good riddance |

My son served in Tal Afar in 05006. He said Baiji was the most horrible and violent place he had seen. It was infested with insurgeants...well now we know why. I hope the soldiers can root out some more terrorists scum asap! Iraqis needs to investigate the father and his "connections." Connections are real importnant in tribal towns. Oh I do read Aljazeera to find out what's really going on the middle east. |

In case all of you folks who read Al-J don't know virtually ALL of the US Four Stooge Media are involved in weapons systems in one way or the other. They are making billions off of this war.
Knowing corporations and...knowing that their ONLY concern is maintaining shareholder paychecks, is it any wonder why these stories NEVER make the US MSM? Of course not.
They wanted Hillary vs. McCaint =McCain't = status quo =more billions. The hell with what the American people, the World want!!! |

Marc, you talk more like a machine and less like a human being! U know it better that a lot of soldiers in iraq do commit crimes, shoot and hurt innocent people either for fun, frustratins or merly they could be a suspect and all escape any kind of actions from the top.
And u sound defending them!
No wonder many soldiers have deserted to Canada & other places, rightfully thinking the war is wrong. |

Guys it doesn't matter anymore who is killed , do you not all see what is happening there is an agenda that has been in place for som etime before Sept 11 incadent and is slowly unravelling. The biggest murderers and liars is clear. when you see a strong pwerful country literally devouring poor weak country's should pretty well give you the whole picture. |

when people are ready they will free themselves.
The factions in Iraq could easily agree to a civil honest government and proceed to put people to work in large numbers. Chinese are good at that.
The reason they are still occupied is because they are divided.
There are too many bosses.
Think of what is best for the country and put checks and balances in place. |

I really have to laugh at the mentalities of some of the posters here. The brainwashed attitudes and placing the blame on everyone but themselves. The US tries to help, they are condemned. Iran assists in the murders, and many people praise them. Posters from Afghanistan condemn everyone else also. I want our troops home, but you people can't seem to even help YOURSELVES. You can't even get an election date set. I'm afraid you are all destined to continue you religious wars for years to c |

having been a U.S. soldier who has fought for 2 years in iraq, i would have to say that they were probably armed. with out knowing the individual soldiers involved though i can't really tell you. what i can teel you is that for the most part U.S. soldiers are professional. if we need to kill some one we do, if we are ordered to kill some one we do, if we don't have to kill someone we don't. |

Based on what you are saying, the US government instructs it's soldiers to kill innocent Iraqi civilians? Last I checked the civilian death toll numbered in the hundreds of thousands, some sources even say over a million.
And you still choose to defend your country. Why don't you defend your honor this time. Defend the truth, defend innocent people! |

Marc, you have been or still are a US soldier.
I have 2 questions for you
1 will a US soldier let 5 other US soldier die, if it means ONE innocent male teen age civilian's life would be saved by their death.
My answer is no, all US soldiers think and are told is that their life is worth more then anybody's life including allied soldiers. An no US soldier should die to save an other if its not American,
2 when in doubt a US soldier will always perceive hostile intent and kill first |

So how do you know which civilians not to shoot at? The ones wearing robes carrying a weapon or anyone with a weapon i'm confused. It must be tough considering most of the Iraqi population carries some sort of arms.
So we should pull out and let the locals shoot it out. |

I dont feel enough facts are available about this incident to formulate much of an opinion about the "barbaric and inhuman" actions of US soldiers. The deputy governor demanding an investigation is the obvious response, and once this is complete a more informed article will be written. Most agree the US needs to get out ASAP, but restoring security and returning it back to the Iraqi forces is still the goal, which will take some more time. Outcomes like this, only cloud the overall goal. |

The US are doing what they do best again: make friends with the locals by not shooting them. And to think that they raided the house of a government official, well done to the US. Keep up the good work and prove to the Iraqi government that you will kill them at whim. Congratulations to the puppets in Iraq, you lost one supporter. Mac can defend this action all he wants but he hasn't given any reason why they raided a government officials house. |
