Courage is a scare commodity in the world these days. The US power is coming up against the "rise of the rest."
It is so clear that sovereign nations are taking nation's rights seriously.
"Give me liberty or death." Patrick Henry
Freedom to do within the rule of law is the maxim. Iran is exercising that right.
A perfect solution would be a nuclear weapon free world. Let's get there first before we condemn others. |

Iran is not asking USA to give something to stop the uranium enrichment, not all the countries in the world are as greedy as US. What a joke.. American talking of peace while they are the one running freely invading other countries. And yes, why would you allow anyone to have nuclear weapons.. it is US and Isreal's patent to have and use nuclear weapons on mankind. Mike you talking of law... another laughable stock. |

The west is trying to bully another not so friendly regime but does not have the guts to put its feet down Sanctions against Iran will not work and has not worked in the past. China and Russia in the mean time are playing both sides for their own profit. Don't get me wrong, if it was up to me, I would remove the regime in a minute but in a heart beat but in the same token when it comes to international law, they have every right to have nuclear how to's just like West's best friend, "Israel". |

I a sunni muslim praise the government and people of iran for their steadfastness and uncompromising attitude towards the us and it's allies.
When the west gives up its nuclear weapons perhaps then we can talk about iran giving up its ambitions.
Israel a state imposed on the middle east by the west has over 300 hundred nuclear weapons. The united states a country who is the only country in the world to use nuclear weapons has thousands. The muslim world has a right to defend itself |

Iran Nuclear Power
If Iran could be trusted with nuclear power, it would be one thing. Once they have it, they will attempt to hold the countries hostage, or be vaporized by weapons.
That is the difference between the countries that already have it and Iran. Countries that already have it, don't use it as a club.

Irans Peaceful pursuit of atomic energy |
|
|
|
|
|
It is my belief that for Mr Ahmadinejad to steadfastly state that Iran's nuclear aspirations are purely peaceful would be more accepted if he did not take every opportunity to threaten his neighbors and deny their right to exist, even going as far as stating that their time on earth is almost over. That being said, carry on, they will only have one opportunity to utilize atomic weapons against any country before Mr Ahmadinejad puts his own people on the receiving end of a nuclear weapon. |

How can Ahmadinejad be taken seriously when he says Iran is after peaceful nuclear energy, when countless times he has stated it is their goal to wipe Israel off the map... easiest way to do that would be with a bomb. Wouldn't it make sense that *IF* the nuclear ambitions are for peaceful energy that they would ask for assistance since the global community is up in arms about their ambitions. If for nothing else but to get the world to shut up. |

Irans Nuclear Programme |
|
|
|
|
|
The French, the Germans and the Russians continue to violate the sanctions and continue to trade freely with Iran. Why would they cease to trade with Iran just because Israel is scared of its nuclear supremacy? Terrorist state terrified of terror, they are a joke with their 30 years of UN violations and the worlds fourth nuclear arsenal. If they are allowed to have nuclear arms, then so is everyone else in the Middle East. Once they have disarmed then it will be credible for the rest to do so. |

if you truely want peace and your peoples lives are important to you whats the problem with stopping enrichment for a week to see exactly what we can do for you.If nothing happens then continue. If you get what you want then were all happy. We cannot allow you to have nuclear weapons and we wont.If a military strike happens, its your fault for not playing nice. There has to be law in the free world or there can never be peace. |

Do not capitulate to the USA like the North Koreans did. It will be a national humiliation and an environmental /economic error. Nuclear energy is the only viable option for the future -even environmentalists like Lovelock are saying this- what will you do when the oil runs out? As a result of its decision North Korea is now dependent on importing fossil fuels - it could have been self sufficient if it had not given in to bullying from USA. |

I agree with Mike from US, that there should be law in the free world. But law that is equal for all - not like keeping a blind eye about israeli nuclear programme with sizeable arsenal of N-bombs. While others have to be subdued by any means in order to give Israel an upper hand. In between, the organisations like IAEA, UN, etc. are stooges of the new order.
Really amazing the extent of arrogance of these proponents of so called "Free and (un)Fair World" |

I like and agree with Fouad's feedback regarding iran's nuclear programme. It is a joke, a terrorist state is terrified of terror! The US like to think everyone is on their side, then why are european counteries trading with iran? Pres. Ahmadinejad is always smiling, doesn't look like a terrorist's face... |

Y the west and the Israelis are so worried when Iran enriches uranium. Wat about Israel which is the only neuclear power in the middle east? Allah has given the gift to Iran to produce what is suitable for it. Br.Ahmedinajad go ahead with the plans and Allah's help is always with the islamic nation. Dont give it to ransom by the europeans.May Allah bless you as well as your country - Amin. |

If Israel has the right to make nuclear bombs why cant Iran make Nuclear power stations for its own country, for its people to have a better life?
If Iran really drops a bomb on Israel, they the Iranians know very well that the contaminated air might go towards other Islamic countries. And I know for a fact that the Iranians wont let that happen to their fellow muslim brothers and sisters and children.
Please Please people dont think of war with Iran its going to be a waste. |

What justified for the U.S. to have an arsenal of 12,000 nuclear warheads?
The U.S should learn to lead the world by examples, instead of behaving like arrogant tyrant. |

There is no reason to enrich uranium. You can be nuclear....sure, no problem. You can have supervisors come in if you want to cooperate and solely produce energy.
Or...
You can get sanctions and end up isolated. You can still trade IED materials with Jaish al Mahdi though....there's always that |

You hear all these complaints about the US. They should do this, shouldn't have done that. Everyone sees the world through their own interest. I don't blame Iran wanting a nuke. They want to become the dominant regional power. Unfortunately, the world we live in, the only real measure is power. Since the US has the biggest stick, they can tell Iran they cannot have a nuke. Why can they do this? Because they have a bigger stick than Iran. It may not be fair, but that's how int. relations work. |

What gives the US the right to 12,000 nukes? Open a history book, its called WWII. In case everyone forgot Hitler and the Japanese tried to take over the world. After that, the communists tried. Ever imagined what the world would be like if Hitler had won. The US isn't perfect and we've made mistakes, but we're a pretty ambivalent superpower, although Saddam Husseing might disagree. So let Iran build a bomb garauntee they'll regret it. US will protect itself no matter what repressive Iran says. |
