This is all very interesting considering Hamas's victory in the fighting. Why isn't Fouzan happy about the victory? And also why does half of the victorious population need professional help? |

Palestinian men bear trauma of war, be strong and be good |
|
|
|
|
|
Of all people, you too, should know that you would not be foresaken. By the Words of the Lord, "There are times you may have to long-suffer and persevere." Jesus Christ, on the cross, dying, yelled out, "Father, Father, why have you foresaken me?!" Was Jesus forsaken? He was not foresaken. Some may say that was the "man" in Jesus speaking.
Jesus Christ lived in these cities and these towns.
I'm still upset that Hamas doesn't deal right with PA President Abbas.
Don't be used, be men.

A Heart-Wrenching Story |

But it makes me wonder why (or if) the Palestinians support firing rockets into Israel or supporting a government that refuses to make peace. Even though they have never been offered a just peace, fighting has only made each successive peace proposal LESS just! Perhaps they are too traumatized to think straight. The Israelis may suffer from the same malady. Or perhaps Golda Meir was correct: There will be peace when the Palestinains love their children more than they hate the Israelis. |

This doesn't sound like victory to me.
If Hamas embraced peace and accepted their neighbors, they would have a chance for the future. gazans must expell hamas and embrace positive engagement with their neighbors, reject rockets and suicide and embarce secular education for their children. wbf austin texas |

Israel must pay for this crime against Palestinians |
|
|
|
|
|
Jews are still collecting compensations for Nazi crimes. Now, Israel has to pay for these crimes which it is committing the open against a population it continues to occupy in defiance of UN resolutions and Geneva convention. Some westerners are so morally bankrupt that they keep blaming the Palestinians for fighting against and enemy that has no regard to any human norms. Mark my words: the world will eventually thank the Palestinian DAVID for making a stand against the Israeli Goliat |

It is very easy for you to sit mies away in your homes with everything you have and the freedom to go and please as you wish, you have obviously never been in any of these place or a country that has been affected or recovering from the after affetcs of war. |

palesetinian have trauma over this whole conflict why do they keep it up over there occupation. Do they want to live like humans or barbaric dogs. These other countries like syria and iran dont live like you in poverty. The war you fight is a joke. The middle east will never win Isreal at war so you guys need to all unite and stop the act of violence. If you live by hate you will be hated if you live by the gun you will die by the gun . If we teach our childeren to love then you will be loved |

It is amazing how many Americans think that any Palestinian suffering is justified simply because they elected a government you do not like. Its okay to feel compassion for a people ravaged by an unjust siege, and a disproportionate war. The kind of logic that justifies horrendous cruelty because its victims are viewed as a threat to the perpetrators and their nation was in full use in Germany in the 1930s and early 40s. Those guys were about as morally righteous as Israel is. |

I bet barbaric, sadisctic Israelies are smiling while reading this article. First they displace people by ethnic cleansing, then occupy their refugee camps and when these poor souls fight back (as any decent person would), they are called terrorists!! they knew they were choosing Jihad over economic and social development. What did they expect? Hire a chef, you get food. Hire warriors you get war. Maybe next time they will understand the power of the ballot. You get whaty you vote forh |

I do appreciate the attention to mental health issues, but I wish that things that are actually deemed to be symptoms (by psychologists) were mentioned in this types of articles. For example, I see feeling scared and feeling unsafe in this article, but these are not psychiatric symptoms of mental illness. If anything, they are only an indication to monitor the person more closely. |

Another 'crushing military defeat' is 'VICTORY.'
Children and women and noncombatant men massacred in their house are 'MARTYRS.'
More than half of the population is dependent on 'United Nation.'
Attacking only potential ally (although quite egregious) in the neighborhood (Egypt) by terrorist attacks and claiming 'RESISTANCE.' |

As an American, I am embarrassed and saddened by comments of other Americans who seem to either take this situation as a joke or blame the Palestinians. After 60 years of refugee status, occupation and humiliation at the hands of the Israeli-US military machine, this situation, makeshift rocket attacks, and "terrorist" attacks should be expected. Unfortunately, it seems many American have no concept of what it is like to be a victim of military terror.

Do not give up hope. If there ever was a just struggle, this is it. Eventually your children will see an end to this. As it was in South Africa, so it will be there, as it was in India, so it will be there. The lesson you will have to learn from this is that you must be strong enough to defend yourself and your children because International Law is only for the mighty. Justice are for people who are armed to the teeth. Not for people who are imprisoned and at the mercy of the beast. |

Please i like to ask the al jazeera tv channel . Are the gazans humans? If they are then why are you against their basic human rights? You can report that palestinians fired rockets into isreal but forget to report that from the time the ceasefire began, how many times isreal has violated that ceasefire? Please can you tell me what is a ceasefire ? the gaza siege is there . Gazans are crying out of hunger , small childrens are walking on streets as orphans , hospitals are full of injured people! |

Rebuilding Fouzans Livelihood |

Are there any NGOs that could assist Fouzan in rebuilding his business? I do some charity work, so I would be willing to raise some money to donate supplies to Fouzan. Is there any way to contact him and let him know that there are people in the western world that do care about what is happening in Palestine?
Are there still export blockades for Gaza? How can these people be expected to be peaceable if they can't even make a living and feel trapped like rats in a cage???
Thanks,
Amelia |

Israel has the ability annihilate Palestine at moments notice. How? $90 billion in aid doesnt hurt rejecting UN, Amnesty International, and EU mandates to stop bombing an already skeletal infrastructure doesnt hurt. US support for the bombings doesnt hurt.
Israel has a goal: to usurp full habitation of gaza at all human costs possible and eliminate the Muslim population. One must reflect on the 2,000 lb. bombs being dropped on schools, mosques, and missles being fired at children and family |

Just as unfortunatley hate produces mutual hate, would it not be sensible to counter it by caring? If importing/exporting was possible, a sewing machine could be donated to Fouzan helping him with his business and his state of mind and give him hope.
If there is a way to directly help families in need, please let the world know.
For those in the U.S. writing angry words, I am wondering why so much hate? Are you suffering or them? |

What bothers me most is the idiots who still blame Hamas. Who lame the victims ~ SUCH a Zionist technique! It easy to pass comments from safety. It is not so cut and dried fools.Hamas did NOT break the peace. Israel's trick of pushing to the brink, then looking trod upon is getting stale. This was a war for votes, a war of genocide, a war long planned. They created the excuse and went in. They killed & traumatized. Grow some compassion and humanity you complacent spoiled creatures. |

It is tragic that generations of Palestian adults and children will be forever traumatized by war. However, when you elect a goverment whose charter vows permanent war with a much stronger enermy, what do you expect? Peace? Victory? Hamas and Iran will glady sacrifice millions of Palestinians to further their own political aims. It is they who should be held accountable. The West Bank prospers, because they have seen that cooperation is mutually beneficial. |
