As Muslim designer fashion hits the catwalks, shopping Malls and High Streets we ask - how much is the business worth?
In recent years many parts of the Arab world have been establishing themselves as leaders in luxury retail, with Middle Eastern women considered some of the most knowledgeable and fashion-forward shoppers in the world. But a question remains - what happens when a woman wants to look fashionable and remain modest? Can the more traditional look be adapted for contemporary times?
The good news is that designers and retailers are starting to sit up and take note of this growing lucrative market.
Amani Zain reports from the streets of Sheffield where young British Muslim women show us how to be modest and fashionable. Shahnaz Pakravan is joined in the studio by Yasmin Safri, catwalk designer of Islamic fashion wear and Norma Habib, Fashion journalist from the United Arab Emirates to discuss emerging trends.
