Noam Chomsky has written over 200 books [EPA]

In the world of academia Noam Chomsky is the most cited author alive.

When you look at the all-time most quoted list, his name is up there with Plato, Freud and the bible.

He has written over 200 books which have been translated into over 50 languages.

He is our guest this week on Inside USA.

American linguist, philosopher, political activist, author and lecturer, Noam Chomsky has been engaged in political activism all of his adult life and expressed opinions on politics and world events which are widely cited, publicised and discussed.

Chomsky has argued that his views are those which the powerful do not want to hear, and for this reason he is considered an American political dissident.

He talks to Inside USA about politics in the US and this presidential election.
