Richard Branson

Sir Richard Branson, is a British entrepreneur, best known for his Virgin brand, a banner that encompasses a variety of business organisations.

It is estimated that Branson is worth over £3 billion (equivalent to more than US$5 billion) according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2006. On October 12, 2006, he emphasised his stated plan is to invest $3 billion over 10 years to fight global warming.

The son of an air hostess and a lawyer, Richard Branson faced challenges from an early age … his parents set him tough physical tasks to make him strong and independent. At 15, he dropped out of school to start a magazine with friends – and, soon after, launched the record label that would make him a household name.

Virgin has products ranging from air travel and beverages to mobile phones and even space tourism. Coming soon - environmentally-friendly fuel. Branson's hard work has netted him an estimated $5 billion and growing.
