Watch part two
This week on One on One, meet the top Thai singer, model and actress, Tata Young.
Stardom and success began early for her, as she proved that her striking Eurasian looks were matched by her powerful voice.
She is one of East Asia's hottest stars – and has even made her mark in India's Bollywood film industry with her raunchy music style.
Now her sights are set on the global market as she takes her skills to the big screen.
Tata Young's career was as good as launched when she beat thousands of others to win a national talent competition at the age of 11.
By the time she was 14, she had released her first album. By 15, she was Thailand's biggest pop star and by 18 she had reached the US to great reviews at the Palladium in Hollywood.
Beyond selling her albums by the millions to her fans in East Asia, Young proved her appeal to Indian fans, with a popular Hindi number, Dhoom Dhoom for the film Dhoom, which featured some of India's top movie stars.
Her first foray into movies was in 1997 with the popular teen drama, The Red Bike Story, casting her with fellow Thai singing star, Mos Patiparn, and proving that she has a big screen presence.
The same year, Elle magazine named her one of Thailand's "10 most influential people."
The multi-award winning singer still draws large crowds when on stage, but admits to having her eye on expanding her acting career. Considering her age and remarkable success so far, Tata Young obviously has many options open to her.
