What now for Hezbollah?

Watch part two

Western fears of a major Hezbollah victory in Lebanon did not materialise. But is Hezbollah's electoral defeat necessarily a set-back?

Only 11 Hezbollah candidates ran in the election; all of whom won.

The March 8 coalition, which Hezbollah leads, took 57 seats in the country's 128-seat parliament.

The results basically mean that Lebanon's parliament will continue as it was before - deadlocked, unless a unity government is formed.

Will the ruling March 14 alliance, led by Saad al-Hariri, reach out to Hezbollah?

On Tuesday's Riz Khan we talk to Ibrahim Moussawi, Hezbollah's media relations officer, and ask whether his party would join a unity government and what they would want in return.

This episode of the Riz Khan show aired from Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
