Cinema in India is big business. Bollywood is now the world's number one producer of movies.

But India is also home to one of the world's smallest cinemas.

It is so small in fact that two friends push it around the streets of Ahmedabad on a hand-cart.

One of the worlds smallest cinemas, hand powered film projector from the early days of entertainment rolls through the busy streets of India.

Customers of all age groups pay one rupee -that is about two and a half cents - to peer through peep-holes to watch.

On an average day, the cinema generates 200 to 300 rupees in income.  

The hand-cart cinemas however must compete with the growing threat of tv and dvds.

Student filmmaker Megha Lakhani's film Prakash Travelling Cinema is an affectionate portrait of a throw-back to an earlier age of Indian cinema.
