Can Somalia's new leaders bring peace and stability?

Hizbul Islam, a coalition of groups fighting Somali government forces and African Union peacekeepers, has agreed a ceasefire with Somalia's new cabinet. Sharif Ahmed, the country's new president, said he had agreed to a truce and also accepted the implementation of sharia in the country. Will Somalia's new president be able to end the civil strife that has plagued the country for decades? Is the implementation of sharia key to this?
